See more than 100 dynamic works from both professional and amateur African-American artists from around the country.
This longest-running exhibition of African-American art has been displayed annually at MSI since 1970. The exhibition features paintings, drawings, fine art prints, sculpture, mixed-media, ceramics and photography by African Americans, including youth artists between the ages of 14 and 17.
Opens on January 16, 2017 and runs through February 19, 2017.
The sixth installment of an ongoing successful Art Center program encouraging new and diverse public to think of themselves as patrons or leaders of contemporary art. The exhibition presents over 50 new works by artists with work by Candida Alvarez, Tony Tassett, David Leggett, Maria Gaspar, and many more.

Each year, the grounds of the African Fest come alive as a simulated African village, replete with special-interests pavilions featuring African drumming; colorful and rich fabrics; hand-crafted fine arts; interactive demonstrations; health and wellness workshops; spectacular jewelry; children's programming; author and book readings; and captivating entertainment.
